In 2024, a collection of books belonging to Dr Ruth Yvonne Pavlovic came to Pakistan.
Ruth was a psychiatrist and trainee at the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists (IGAP) in London. Before her death in November 2023, she had asked that her books be donated so that other students could use them.
After her death, her parents, Alan and Pat Selwood, agreed that the books could come to Pakistan. Penny Boisset of IGAP gathered and prepared the collection, and with the help of Ffiona Perigrenor, IGAP and the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), Ruth’s books made their way here.
Her parents wrote:
“We hope that many students will benefit for a long time from Ruth's hard work and her decision to donate her books to other students via IGAP when she could no longer continue herself.”
The books are now held in the care of Jung Center Pakistan. They continue to be used for study and learning, carrying forward the purpose for which Ruth gave them.
With gratitude to Ruth, Alan and Pat Selwood, Penny Boisset, Ffiona Perigrenor, IGAP and the IAAP.
